Edifice x Casio G-SHOCK Watch Set
Bringing a bit of a contemporary touch to the usual street stylings of Casio’s G-SHOCK, we get a peek into an upcoming project between Casio and Japanese menswear label Edifice. Two new watches will be produced within a set that finds inspiration from British design, while celebrating Edifice’s 15th Anniversary. Simple yet classy, both timepieces feature mostly white/black platforms with added stripe and polka dot motifs on the bands. Stay tuned for a further look into the project in the coming weeks.

KID CUDI TAKES #1 ALBUM IN COMPLEX'S BEST OF 2009
The Complex Co-Sign: Hip-hop’s lonely stoner threw the “debut rap album” blueprint out the window with his bold opening statement, a somber trip into the mind of Scott Mescudi. With producers Emile, Plain Pat, and Ratatat driving most of the music, Man On The Moon shows a remarkably fully-formed sound—dark, melodic, spacious—a feat that most unfocused artists strive for their entire career. Mixing the easy thump of hip-hop with the relentlessly introspective sensibility of indie rock, Cudi pushed the boundaries of both worlds, perfectly capturing 2009’s unapologetically creative spirit.

Diddy on not Writing His Rhymes
PLAYBOY: Let’s get into some of the criticisms. You’ve been attacked for being one of the few rappers who don’t write their own rhymes. Is that a fair accusation?
COMBS: My instrument and my tone represented Harlem—my swagger, my lazy flow. Nobody came in and told me how to do that. I was spoiled because my first rhyme was written by Biggie. People don’t know that Biggie was the one who pushed me to be an artist. I was afraid to do it, but he said, “The crowd goes crazy when you come out. I’m gonna write you some rhymes.” We did “It’s All About the Benjamins” and “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down.”
PLAYBOY: Other people continued to write rhymes for you, even after Biggie died.
COMBS: Nobody just sits down and writes lyrics for me. If it’s Jay-Z, he puts me to work. I give him information; I have to tell him which melodies I’m hearing. He’ll use me as a muse. My strength as a songwriter is having ideas and melodies, and I need somebody to put them together. If you have a relationship with some of the best writers in the game, you’d be a fool not to take advantage of that. I’m not trying to out-rap Jay-Z, you know what I’m saying? I don’t even see us in the same weight division. Him, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake—they’re in the heavyweight division; they’re in contention for the belt. Jay doesn’t dictate what I do or don’t do.

Kid Cudi Punches A Fan During A Performance
the guy story
so here the story. some guy throws their wallet AT kudi… (his wallet, i don’t know why) being in the front, everyone reached out when he was like, “oh, who wants this?” of course everyone in the front is going to be “yeah its mine.” so i caught it and when he was walking away, i believe he jokingly said “if thats not yours, i’ma come get you”. a couple seconds later i felt bad so i tossed it on stage(clearly not throwing it at him but? just tossing it). this is what i dont get but he comes down, over the barricade and punched me. the people beside me were fucking awesome. lol the fans were actually holding him back. then the bouncer came and the show ended.? i still have my wallet.

New Outkast Album On The Way In 2010?
After leaking tracks for more than a year and a half, Big Boi has just turned in his new solo album, “Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.” He tells Billboard.com it will be the first of a batch of new music from the Atlanta duo. “This is all in the next year or so,” Big Boi says, “starting with my album coming at the top of the year, Dre 3000 right after me…and when the solo albums come out, depending on how the fans support them, then we’re gonna give them the Outkast album.”
uniform experiment 2009 Winter Varsity Jackets
Following a familiar aesthetic seen within uniform experiment’s recent studded varsity jacket release, the Japanese brand returns with a new set of varsity pieces for the Winter season. Included in this latest drop are two new colorways, each pairing two-tone bodies with the traditional elements found in classic varsity jackets. Both are certainly some of the cleanest designs of the season and are now available via The-Glade.

Kanye West Responds To Entertainment Weekly Claiming He Has The Album Of The Decade
WOW… THIS IS REALLY FLATTERING… I’VE HAD SOME UPS AND DOWNS THIS YEAR, WELL ACTUALLY THIS DECADE. JUST SEEING THIS COVER TAKES ME BACK TO THAT TIME OF MY LIFE. I REMEMBER HOW MUCH PAIN AND LOVE WENT INTO THIS ALBUM. NO ONE SAW IT COMING. THIS PROJECT WASN’T ABOUT ME, IT WAS ABOUT A TIME IN PEOPLES LIVES WHERE PEOPLE FORCE OPINIONS ON YOU AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE CHOICES FOR YOURSELF. WE LOVED 50 CENT BUT WE WANTED TO BE THE YANG. WE WANTED TO WEAR PINK POLOS AND RAP ABOUT BEING HURT INSTEAD BEING INVINCIBLE. THERE WAS A CORE GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO WORKED ON THIS ALBUM EVERYDAY…. PLAIN PAT, JOHN MONOPOLY, DON CRAWLEY, ANTHONY KILHOFFER, MANNY MARROQUIN, JOHN LEGEND, DEVON HARRIS, RYHMEFEST, GEE ROBERSON, HIP HOP, AL BRANCH, DAMON DASH, GABE TESORIERO, CRAIG BAUER, GLC, OL’ SCHOOL ICE GREE, CONSEQUENCE, B NICE AND MY MOM. I WAS MOST INSPIRED BY THE MISEDUCATION OF LAURYN HILL AND I LISTENED TO THAT ALBUM EVERYDAY WHILE WORKING ON MY DEBUT. THANK YOU FOR THIS ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND ALSO FOR PUTTING “THE BLUEPRINT” ON THE LIST ALSO. I LOVED “THE LOVE BELOW’ AND “GET RICH OR DIE TRYING” ALSO. THEY BOTH EQUALLY DESERVED THE NUMBER ONE SPOT IN MY EYES BUT THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE NUMBER ONE!!!
